Volkswagen finally gave the signal more emphatic concerning BlueSport VW roadster. Compact-sized sports car this seems akan segera enter the production line.

This model appears in the 2009 Detroit Motor Show ago. When the 2.0 liter engine uses common-rail diesel four-cylinder paired with a dual-clutch gearbox. This engine produces around 168hp.

If later produced, of course, not only the engine is used. Volkswagen is considering engine turbo 2.0 liter petrol, 265hp, similar as that used Scirocco R.

Engine version used is the concept of efficiency which has the amazing 55mpg (as a comparison, Camry Hybrid 2.4 liter 33mpg efficiency, Honda Insight dikisaran latest 45mpg). CO2 emissions of around 113g/km – equivalent to a machine with a 1.0-liter engine. According to VW, acceleration from idle to 60mph achieved in 6.2 seconds and can reach top speed 225km/jam. With such machines, estimated to cost $ 30,000.

“Volkswagen has only two targets at developing a new car, the maximum driving comfort and fuel consumption at least,” as revealed in the release of VW. Clearly, VW will not compromise with the target when it developed engine roadster with a central focus on the light weight and maximum agility since the beginning.
